“One cannot advocate for racial equality, LGBT+ and Women’s Rights, condemn corrupt and abusive regimes and other injustices yet choose to ignore the Palestinian oppression. It does not add up. You cannot pick and choose whose human rights matter more.” –from the Black Lives Matter Instagram

What’s happening in Israel/Palestine is not a “both sides” situation. These are not “clashes”. Israel is an apartheid state and Palestinians live under occupation. Here are some ways you can support Palestine during this time and demand justice for the Palestinian people.

From Dear Asian Youth

Dear Asian Youth is a “youth-led, global organization that promotes intersectional activism, solidarity with other marginalized communities, and equality and equity.” They recently put together a non-exhaustive (yet very comprehensive) slideshow on their Facebook and Instagram pages listing several ways you can support Palestine. These include:

You can also donate through their Facebook post. One hundred percent of the funds raised will go directly to the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund.

From the BDS Movement

Here are 5 actions you can take to mobilize and channel your energy toward seeking justice for Palestine and dismantling apartheid.

From the United Church of Christ

Read this statement from the United Church of Christ joining with other faith communities worldwide in calling on the United States to hold Israel accountable for violations of human rights and international law. There are also a couple of action items toward the end of the statement.

More Petitions

On the Palestinian Children & Families Act (HR 2590)

Introduced by Rep. Betty McCollum from Minnesota, this bill seeks justice for Palestinian families by "prohibiting Israeli authorities from using US taxpayer funds to detain & torture Palestinian children, demolish & seize Palestinian homes & further annex Palestinian land in the occupied West Bank."

On stopping the forced displacement of Palestinians

  • Over 1,500 Palestinians from neighborhoods in Jerusalem are facing threat of forced displacement and home demolitions by Israeli authorities. Children make up a large percentage of the families threatened with homelessness. Sign this petition to demand an end to Israel illegal expulsions of Palestinians and demolitions of their homes.

On standing up for Children’s rights

  • Sign onto this petition from FOSNA to stand up for Children's rights and call for an end to child detention from Palestine to Mexico.
