Relief Efforts in Puerto Rico: Ways to Help • Esfuerzos de ayuda en Puerto Rico: formas de ayudar

If you’re looking to help with relief efforts in Puerto Rico, please keep reading for several options. These sources were provided to us by people in our network and those on the ground doing this work, so you can be assured that all funds and supplies will go to where they are needed.

Monetary Donations

1. Monetary donations can be sent to the Baptist Churches of PR (PR). Mail checks to PR, PMB 199 PO BOX 6017, Carolina, PR 00984-6017. If you would prefer to wire funds to their bank account, please email Allison at allison@bpfna.org for this information.

2. You can  send funds through BPFNA. Please select "Puerto Rico Relief Efforts."

3. You can also donate through “One Great Hour of Sharing (OGHS).” Click here to donate by credit card online or mail your donation to the attention of Kim Wilkins at American Baptist Home Mission Societies, 1075 First Ave., King of Prussia, PA 19406 (designate your check to “OGHS-Puerto Rico”).

Your donation will help buy these needed supplies:

  • Boxes or jugs of water

  • Water for babies

  • Disposable baby diapers (different sizes)

  • Personal hygiene items

  • Women’s sanitary napkins

  • Over the counter medicines (Panadol, Tylenol, Benadril)

  • Off bug repellent

  • Boxed milk

  • Baby wipes

  • Baby food

  • Powdered milk

  • Small boxes of cereals

  • Disposable cutlery, plates, glasses, etc.

  • Large trash bags

  • Toilet paper

  • Paper towels

  • Shelter tents

  • Blankets

  • Pillows

  • Pet food

  • Nonperishable foods that can be eaten without cooking

  • Disinfectants (Lysol, Odor Ban, etc.)

Prayer

Please keep the people of Puerto Rico in your prayers, particularly those in communities most affected. Please also pray for the volunteers and others coordinating efforts to help the island and its people during this time of need.
